The Global Study launches the MENA Regional Report

On 22 September 2016, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Report on sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism (SECTT) was launched in Rabat, Morocco. The conference, which was organised by Moroccan ECPAT Network member AMANE, was attended by around 80 participants from government, diplomatic missions, international organisations, civil society, law enforcement, the travel and tourism industry, academia and media.

ECPAT International Coordinator for Africa, Catherine Mbengue attended the conference and delivered the opening speech and made a presentation on the Global Study’s findings and recommendations.

Audrey Rochette and Hanna Bristol represented ECPAT Luxembourg and ECPAT France and they presented CSEC (commercial sexual exploitation of children) projects implemented by these two European ECPAT Groups in Africa.

Najat Maalla M’jid, Chair of the Global Study High Level Taskforce, presented the MENA Regional Report on SECTT.
